Are these maps actually 3d printed?
No, not yet. These are flat 2d maps with a very realistic shaded relief that will appear to be 3d. We hope to one day offer these as a 3d product but have yet to find a manufacturer that can produce them with the details and keep it affordable.
Why do the prices vary so much between products?
The prices are actually all the same across each map, the costs only vary between variations (size and material). The vintage maps have lots of small text on them that isn't legible at the smaller sizes so we don't offer those maps at the smaller size (i.e. 12x16). Of course if you are ok with the smaller text not being legible we can still print at the smaller sizes (and for the lower cost) if you reach out to us.
Can you provide the digital files?
No, we do not make the digital versions of our files available.
How are these maps made?
The maps are made using Digital Elevation Models to represent a 3d surface with simulated sunlight cast over the derived surface. The 3d surfaces are combined with restored 2d maps to render a very realistic looking 3d-like product.
The process combines GIS, Remote Sensing and Cartography to produce map products that are one of a kind and very new to the map making world. Be one of the first to hang this type of map on your wall and turn heads.
What type of material are the maps printed on?
Matte Paper (Frameless). Museum-quality print made on thick and durable matte paper. Add a wonderful accent to your room or office with these prints that are sure to brighten any environment. Choose this option if you intend on providing your own frame.

White Aluminum Print. A modern floating print on metal that is light and lasts a lifetime. Our shaded relief maps stand out with these prints and are sure to impress.

All prints are made to order, please allow 2-7 business days to prepare your order prior to shipment. Once items are shipped they are generally received within 5-10 business days depending on the region shipped to.
How are the prints shipped?
Standalone prints are shipped in tubes or triangles depending on the region being delivered to.
Frames, canvas and acrylic prints are packaged in boxes, well protected at the corners and wrapped in bubble wrap.
In the unlikely event an item arrives damaged we will absolutely send a replacement right away if you can provide a photo of the damaged product.
Will I be charged customs or duties?
Depending on the country delivering to, there may be customs or duty fees upon delivery which are the responsibility of the recipient. We use drop shipping to supply our orders worldwide, depending on the type of order they are produced in either Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
What is your return policy?
Since our products are made to order, we don't have an opportunity to re-inventory product and subsequently can't accept returns unless there is a problem with the order. If you do have a problem with your order please reach out to us immediately and we'll have it rectified as soon as possible.
